On the evening Friday May 20th during our dogs daily walk on City Bank field (Cirencester) our beautiful 8 year old Japanese Shiba Inu, Frankie, was attacked by a chocolate Labrador. During the attack Frankie slipped her collar and started to run towards our house. The Labrador chased her and Frankie was hit by a car on Beeches road bridge and killed.
We are appealing for information as the owners of the Labrador have a court order to keep their dog muzzled and leashed due to previously attacking a woman.
Due to being on maternity leave (I have a 3 month old son) we are unable to afford the costs to retrieve Frankies ashes.
Our hearts are broken, She needs to come home where she felt safe. My family has been torn apart and the thought of never having her with me again is too much to handle.
