Our children's minibus was sadly stolen and found burnt out the next morning. It was used everyday to take the children to Forest School, our Allotment and other educational trips. While the minibus was insured, we have been informed that they will only pay out what the bus is worth today and also will not cover the costs of the vital safety features of 13 car seats. We were lucky enough to secure funding to buy the minibus brand new 7 years ago, but we know that we are not going to be able to replace the minibus like for like with the insurance pay out we are due. Unfortunately the cost of a brand new minibus is around the £30K mark, so we are fundraising to buy a decent second-hand bus, unless miraculously we hit £30K!!!

Lots of people in the community were shocked that our nursery children will now miss out on a wonderful experience, we have been overwhelmed with the support and have been asked to set up a Just Giving page.

Little Tots Montessori Nursery were the local pioneer's of Forest School which is an inspirational experience. We were the first to recognise Forest School and that it can offer children, the opportunity to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning in a woodland environment. The nursery owner’s travelled to Norway to explore the full Forest School experience and after extensive training started the first Forest School in the area. Our Forest School site is based in Mortimer West End where we have access to over 4 acres of beautiful woodland, which is completely enclosed this allows the children to explore the whole site independently. Forest School is a life enriching experience for children, which allows them to nurture nature and gives them a lifelong passion for being outdoors.

We are hoping to replace our beloved minibus very soon and carry on giving our children the most amazing experiences.
