    Story

Mark Camamile was a perfectly healthy family man in his early thirties, married to Wendy with two children 15 and 7. Last October he became ill and was admitted to QMC Nottingham on 1st October 2015, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia. He passed out and woke later in hospital in Birmingham to find he had contracted Septacemia and had lost both legs and an arm through amputation and other body tissue.
My partner Richard who worked alongside Mark (Mark was a brilliant mechanic/master technician at Sytner Nottingham) found out about this recently when being admitted himself for emergency surgery and ending up on a ward along side Mark. He was so moved by Marks situation that he has taken it upon himself to raise funding to buy Mark a Bionic Arm at a cost of £27k unavailable on the NHS but which will give him back some independence and help him live his life as a family man with his wife and children.
After an amazing start and so much support, we reached the target for his arm within a week and have now increased the target amount to try and raise enough for legs too.
    Thank you all xx

My name is Heidi and I have set this up on behalf of my partner Richard who recently spent time in hospital alongside Mark, they had been friends and colleagues previously, and he was so moved by what happened that he made a promise to Mark to help raise funding for his new arm.
