We have a large number of pupils who have additional needs at the school. Due to the varied nature of their needs some pupils are not able or willing to be active on hard tarmac. Some children in the school risk loosing their sight if they have hard bangs to the head.

As part of a new school build we have an area set aside to be an SEN safe play area but we have to fund the rubber tarmac, covered area, seating and equipment ourselves as it is not covered in the New Schools funding.
