Story
Around 500,000 people in the UK have Alzheimer’s. Alzheimer’s is a disease that causes dementia, it is the most common cause of dementia, accounting for about two-thirds of cases in the elderly. Dementia shatters lives and leaves millions heartbroken, however, the exact cause of this disease is still not fully understood. ARUK still need to learn more about why these proteins build
up in the brain and how they damage nerve cells.
