AutCon is a convention like meet up for children, parents, family and friends who play on the Autcraft Server where they can meet in person rather than just in game. This is such a big step for our players to make, but after the success of making friends in game online, meeting in real life is the next big thing for them.

The first ever AutCon was held in Brisbane last year and was a complete success. It is that that has spurred me on to arrange one in Liverpool, UK!

I am the UK admin of Autcraft and offer my time voluntarily to the server. It is one of the most rewarding yet hardest jobs I have ever done. The enthusiasm the Children have for eachother is second to none, making friends on the server is their goal because they don't feel accepted or included elsewhere. Watching them develop those friendships online has been an awe inspiring experience. It proves that although our children on the spectrum struggle socially, they truly want to socialise and feel the warmth of true friendship.

I would like to raise funds in order to give the children a wonderful experience, my dream would be to hire a venue and provide the children with activities, a goody bag and food. I would also love to give them a tour of my wonderful city. As it is right now, all funding is coming out of my own pocket, which as you can imagine is a struggle as I am a lone parent with three children of my own. Not that that will stop me, I will do my best to give the children and their families a fun filled day!

Autcraft is the largest Minecraft server for Autistic children, their families and friends. It is specifically created to help those on the spectrum play, make friends but also build on skills they usually find a challenge like making friends, communication, speech, problem solving and team building.
