Story
On 30 December 2015 the beautiful Royal Deeside environment which many people call home demonstrated how harsh it can be and the River Dee consumed large areas of Ballater leaving hundreds homeless and businesses severely damaged. the week to follow saw record rain fall in Ballater and the greater Deeside area and resulted in many more communities being affected in ways similar to Ballater.
All communities have demonstrated a resilience and determination to overcome the challenges that nature has presented them with and Hilton Grand Vacations believe that as a member of this community they have an obligation to assist in the restoration process. By working closely with community representatives, the Ballater and Deeside Restoration fund will be used to deliver effective investment in the future of the Ballater and Deeside area.

Having visited Craigendarroch for 25 years we were appalled at the devastation to such a beautiful area.
