Weʼve raised £305 to Help rebuild homes after the Nepalese earthquake

    Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom
Funded on Friday, 24th June 2016

    Story

The earthquake in April 2015, in Nepal, hit Bhaktapur very badly. Many homes were reduced to rubble, or were left so damaged that the families living there became displaced —some are living with friends, in temporary shelters in surrounding fields or in tents in the squares inside the town itself. They simply need help to clear damaged properties and start rebuilding their homes.

I wish I could share more pictures here with you. Please have a look on our Facebook page for updates. Facebook.com/bazaarfairtrade Feeling really sad that one year on and not much has changed for our ladies in Bhaktapur, except they have become more resilient.

Thanks for getting this going again...all donations, however small, add up and this money goes a lot further in Nepal. Big thanks to all those who have supported this, especially to dear Sonia at The Old Haberdashery. I'll be in Nepal next week, look out for updates.
