It is my 50th birthday and I wanted to mark it by doing something positive! My wife has paid for me to do a sky jump on my birthday, so we decided to ask people to sponsor me to make sure I didn't chicken out!

I want to ask people to donate to 2 areas :-
1. Mental health - 1 in 4 of us will experience this in our lifetimes. The hardship and social exclusion can be excruciating to witness so I want to use some of the money raised to give service users on a busy acute ward a little of what we take for granted - basic hygiene goods would be a start.
2. I want to raise money for men's health in particular Prostate Cancer. This has been a shadow in my family and more recently it has been lurking and threatening in my own life. Men are notoriously bad at going to see their Doctor so anything I can do to promote awareness has to be positive!

Essentially we want to have a fun day but instead of presents please give generously thoughtfully - if we all do something little we can create change and offer hope.
