Story
For the last few years of my late fathers life he worked as a music teacher with Drake Music Scotland a charity which creates opportunities for children and adults with disabilities to learn, compose and perform music independently. He notably campaigned the Scottish Qualifications Authority to recognise the Brainfingers system which allows sufferers of cerebral palsy to compose and perform music using a laptop and thereby giving them an opportunity to gain a music qualification.

Thank you to everyone who contributed in person, at the funeral and on this Just Giving page. We have raised over £1600 in total and a pledge from an Edunburgh company of £1000 will take the total to over £2600. The plan is to set up a memorial fund with Drake Music Scotland to help support one on one lessons with most vulnerable students and with future fundraising to perhaps have a room dedicated to Dad. I wil keep everyone updated of the progress by setting up a Facebook group. Thanks again for helping us continue the work of David McNiven xxx
