On 20th July from 10am to 2pm there will be 540 students and 50 staff who will be out in Dartford helping the community. From painting, to gardening, to fundraising, to IT drop in classes and a host of other activities. There are over 45 placements all over Dartford. We have one aim - to make a significant, measurable and visible impact on our community.
Last year we had partial funding from KCC for the day however this year we need to find the funding. We have some funding from KCC for equipment and also some very kind donations of goods from companies like Brewers in Dartford.
However we are still short of about £1500 which will fund the T shirts and some the equipment needed for us to fulfil the placements.
Why are the T-shirts important? The T-shirts make the students visible which is benefital for both safety and awareness. They pull the whole event together.
