    Story

EconomistsForRemain.org is an unincorporated non-profit association registered with the Electoral Commission campaigning for Britain to Remain in the EU. The group has organised a strong statement by 12 Nobel Prize winning economists and over 150 economists based in the UK on the risks of Britain Leaving the EU and opportunities for Remaining. This site is raising funds to support publication of the statement in a full page advertisement in the Telegraph ahead of the vote on Thurs. The ad costs £43k and donors have thus far pledged £18k so we are crowdsourcing the remaining £25k.

Printed and promoted by Eric Beinhocker on behalf of EconomistsForRemain.org both of Eagle House, Walton Well Road, Oxford OX2 6ED.

      Update from the Page owner

While the result of the vote was a great disappointment, I am hopeful that the economics community will continue to speak out on this issue and contribute to the debate on what our post-Brexit future will look like. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed to the fundraising drive for publishing the statement. The funding drive is now closed and it has made an enormous difference in defraying my personal cost for the ad. I have been very gratified by the generosity and support of so many colleagues. With best regards, Eric

As you saw the ad came out on Tuesday and we're continuing to update the website with signatures. While the mainstream media largely ignored the letter (experts are unfashionable right now), there has been good social media pick-up and the Telegraph reports 1.9 million ad impressions. So please keep Tweeting, sharing on Facebook, emailing to friends etc. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
