The five of us are currently studying at Christ's Hospital School in West Sussex, Southern England. Our boarding block, Peele, has been a loyal supporter of a charity called 'Pageant' for many years. This charity specialises in providing education and support for schools in The Gambia. We have provided huge sums of money for this charity in the past, as well as sponsoring individuals through seven years of schooling.

We have decided to travel over to The Gambia in February 2017 to see firsthand the effects of our financial support, as well as working for the charity, teaching lessons and sport. We will be bringing over and donating resources such as stationary, sports equipment and any other resources that we think the schools could do with. We aim to go for ten days, hopefully working in at least three different schools. We also plan whilst we are over there to visit both the individuals who we are currently sponsoring and those who we have sponsored in the past. To make this trip happen, we require £3,800. This will pay for our accommodation, travel, food and the resources we donate.

To raise money for our trip, we are travelling the equivalent distance from our school to Banjul, Gambia through sporting activities such as running, rowing and cycling. This is 4432km to travel between the five of us, including 107 km of running, 342km of cycling and 348km of rowing for each of us, most of which we will be covering in our school gym over the next eight months. This is a real challenge for us so we would seriously appreciate your support in sponsoring us.
