On 3rd March 2016 firefighters and police were called to the home of Gemma Stevens, where she her body was found. Later, the police arrested a man on suspicion of her murder and that investigation still continues.

Gemma was a single mother of 3; her 2 youngest children, 5 and 8 suffered the loss of their father only 4 years earlier.

When you are fit and healthy, making provisions for your funeral is not something you consider in your early 30's, especially with the financial pressures of raising a young family. Due to unexpected and cruel nature of Gemma’s departure, her family never had time to set aside funds.

Therefore this page is an appeal to help the friends and family of Gemma say a loving and respectful goodbye, worlds away from the tragic circumstances that took her away from their lives.

Monies raised will go directly to the family to pay for the funeral costs and the remainder will go to provide her children with the toys and clothing they lost at their home.
