Story
Residents of the Dunkirk camp are living in nylon camping tents, without insulation or adequate protection against the cold and wet conditions being faced. The poor quality of tents leads to dampness of clothing and bedding, further endangering health conditions, often made worse by a lack of adequate nutrition. Health risks are clear, with only one wash station in the entire camp, and only cold water available. With plans of a new camp, currently in debate, we need to focus on the here and now.

We are a very small group of self funded, un-trained volunteers, fire fighting every day in Grande Synthe, trying to house new arrivals, identify vulnerable people and ensure that people stuck in limbo, at least have somewhere warm and dry to sleep.
