Story
So I've wanted to walk Land's End to John o' Groats for years, and I'm finally in the position where I can do it! It's a massive challenge, particularly as I'm doing it largely by myself, carrying my own stuff, and camping as much as possible. In total, the distance is somewhere around 1200 miles, which will take me around 3 months to complete!
I am raising money for the Paul Taylor Charity Fund, in memory of my friend's dad who died last year after a very short battle with lung cancer at the age of 57. The money will go towards university research, aimed at enabling a much earlier diagnosis using a breathalyzer-style machine for almost instant diagnosis, rather than having to wait for the usual test and scans. In a lot of cases that earlier diagnosis can be the key to an earlier treatment, which significantly improves the chance of surviving this cancer.
