Story
We plan to ride from Great Queen Street in London to The High Street in Winslow.
Our route will take us along the streets of London and up the towpath of the Grand Union Canal.
Avoiding traffic and the many canal side obstacles will be part of the challenge - along with the physical endurance of completing the 74 mile ride in one day.
It will be a personal challenge; for many of us this will be the longest bike rides of our lives.
We hope to raise lots of money for the Bucks Masonic Centenary Fund. They in turn will distribute the funds to such causes as the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, British Heart Foundation and PSA testing across the province.
Thank you for supporting us.

8 years agoWe completed our ride yesterday and it was a wonderful occasion. After months of preparation the legs just about held up. We only had two minor crashes and met some interesting people along the way. Riding amongst such a great group of people kept our spirits high and reminded us what this is all about; teamwork, camaraderie and goodwill. We have decided to keep the group going and our next ride will probably be Birmingham Cadbury's World to Winslow - aptly named the Choc-Ride. We are looking for more casual riders to join us - interested?

8 years agoIt is our last day of practice before the big day. I have seen lots of conversations about preparation amongst the team. We are using the next 18 hours to reflect. I am doing a stock check on energy bars for the team - added a cheeky little Crunchie for myself too! It's a 5am start tomorrow - gulp... Weather looks good - but am still preparing for the possibility of mud, rain and general canal sludge Note to self; do not wear your best trainers.... We have reached our target for donations and send thanks to you all for being so generous.

8 years agoWe have been working hard this weekend on a variety of training sessions. Certainly the mud has challenged us and the enormity of the ride is now dawning on us. There is still time for us to get ourselves ready for Sunday. We have just got to find a way to dodge those raindrops
