Story
Young children want to raise money for those who have lost everything and seeking refuge for safety.
On Saturday evening my husband and I spoke to our children (aged 8, 5 and 3) about the Syrian conflict in a sensitive way that children their age would understand. We wanted them to be aware so that we could donate items and they would understand why.
My eight year old daughter suggested a sponsored walk to raise money to help and we burst with pride.
