Following the wishes of both staff and students we would like to commission a local artist, Jason Heppenstall, to design and make a permanent external sculpture as a lasting memorial for Miss Louise Greasley. The sculpture will be sited in the grounds of Hinde House School and will be a focus to help remember and celebrate the life of Louise.

Following an initial design meeting with Jason and taking inspiration from Anthony Gormley’s ‘Angel of the North’ it was decided the sculpture would be based on a life size angel, standing over six feet, abstract and figurative but not following any traditional religious image. The sculpture will be made out of reclaimed mild steel and when complete sprayed with a specialist clear lacquer which will protect it from the elements as well as enhancing the sculpture’s texture and patina.
