Weʼve raised £523 to Help with Molly's vet bill. She was caught in a car engine and lost a leg, toes and some teeth. The insurance is maxed out, bills mounting!

    Story

On 24th June a little cat was found at my front door, bleeding from her mouth and it was apparent that whatever had happened to her, her front left leg had been amputated in the accident. After calling SSPCA and much searching we found her owner. She was chipped but SSPCA said they couldn't contact the owners who were at work at the time. They had put an ad on Facebook saying they were worried she hadn't came home. So we had to visit and break the news to her devastated mummy and daddy.
Turns out through a bit of detective work they think she's climbed into a car engine (she's only a small cat) and she's fell out after it started moving about quarter of a mile from home, amputating her front left leg in the process. She also lost a few teeth, some toes on her surviving front paw and had extensive burns to her underside and mouth.
Now, Molly's owners did the right thing and had her insured, they thought the insurance was ample, but...
The limit on her insurance is £3,000, the hospital bill was £2,600 and the local vets bill went over the £400 last week and they have been paying the bill now for every visit which is slowly building up. The owners just received a call from Vets for Pets who apparently were the first place the SSPCA took Molly. They have said they owe them £500 for the treatment they gave Molly which as you can imagine is very unexpected as nearly 2 weeks have passed and they were not aware of this and it has not been part of their budget. Molly is slowly getting better and everyday that passes more of her personality is coming back.
The bills are crippling the owners now and every penny donated will go towards her ongoing care. Any donations left over from her ongoing care will be re-donated to the original cat action trust Lanarkshire branch.
Please, please donate towards this little soul's care no matter how little, every penny counts.
Thank you all so much in advance.
Susan, on behalf of the owners, Lorn and Karen Gibson

They say things happen for a reason, Molly arrived at my door because she would be helped from sickness to health. And that is what I've set out to do, help her mum and dad see her through her traumatic experience till the end result is achieved... full health & happy future 💖
