Oscar's Army are a dedicated group of family and friends who are fund raising for Oscar during his cancer treatment.

Andy has always loved running and has so far run 43 marathons, but on Saturday 16th July he will be taking his running to the next level and running 100 miles in one go! He has 36 hours to complete the challenge, but would like to complete it closer to 24 hours. Andy is running to raise funds for a lovely little boy called Oscar.

Oscar is a gorgeous little boy who until recently was a healthy happy little fellow who is adored by his family and friends. Always polite and well behaved and was looking forward to joining his friends back at school for his second year.

Unfortunately in August 2015 shortly after his 5th Birthday, Oscar became poorly and was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. The tumour was removed and Oscar has endured many months of treatment including radiotherapy and chemo to prevent the return or spread of the Tumour. Recovery from the treatment is going to be a long process but Oscar is such a determined little boy.

Andy Pittman will be running a 100 mile race on Saturday 16th July to help fundraise for Oscar and we are asking people to sponsor a mile each. We are overwhelmed with the support and generosity from friends and family.

Money raised will make sure that those who need to be with him throughout the follow up treatments and hospital check ups can be, without worrying about the cost of travelling back and fourth to Southampton. The money will also be used if necessary to help with extra tuition if that need arises. Oscar has missed a lot of school time.

Funds will be spent wisely on all Oscars needs that are unforeseen at the moment as his recovery is in such an early stage. What is not spent on this will go towards fund raising for a wonderful holiday when he is fully recovered. Having a dream is as important for children as it is for grown ups when fighting.
