    Story

When I was born I was immediately put up for adoption, within 6 weeks I was fostered and then 3 months later I was adopted giving me a chance in life as a child. At the age of 31 I was involved in a Road Traffic Accident and sustained a head injury with several physical injuries including Spinal, neck, shoulders, chest and hips, I also spent 12 years in lock-in syndrome missing my three daughter's growing up. Then 11 years ago I began to show signs of improvement which in turn lead to some kind of recovery, I was given chance number 2 in life which and although I live 24/7 with pressure on my brain and in constant pain with the physical injuries I still believe I am very privileged to have the life I live now, I have the love and support of my family and friends. Unlike some children I don't have cancer and I have never been without food or without a roof over my head. I cannot even imagine what it's like to have cancer or to go hungry and be homeless? I decided to take on challenges in my wheelchair to help give children from all walks of life the same kind of chances I was given. To date I have pushed myself in my wheelchair from Portsmouth to London, Portland in Dorset to London, Plymouth in Devon to London and last year I pushed myself up the Rock of Gibraltar in my wheelchair and I have even done a challenge against the clock, completing 100 miles in 6 hours and 12 minutes. On the 19th of August 2016 I will take on my 10th challenge and make a tandem skydive from 13,500 ft this challenge is aptley named "REACH FOR THE SKY". The causes I will be supporting are: Save the Children, The Oakley Waterman Caravan Foundation and the City of Portsmouth AC. I hope you will help me make a difference to children's lives in some small way by donating whatever you can! Thank You.

Free falling for 50 seconds but it felt like we were floating through the clouds then the colours of the fields appeared and life looked so good. I'd love the the fundraising total to go as high as I did in feet and hopefully it will! Thank you for your tolerance of me and the challenges I have embarked on but most of all thank you for you friendship, kindness and generosity in helping make a difference to other people's lives! Our best wishes Paul, Jane and crew.

Good Afternoon Everyone. An amazing day! 'The Eagle Has Landed'! After several postponements the first 2 jumps went up then the weather closed in so we went into 'Hold', people left which meant the jump was in danger of being cancelled, I was going nowhere! Then the break we were hoping for came, the skies brightened up but remained cloudy, the jump was on and within 15 minutes were were airborne climbing to 13,000ft! Because of the cloud base we couldn't go any higher. The jump was the most amazing experience I've had in ages!
