    Story

This little boy, who we have named Roland, came into our Practice with both front legs broken. The owner wanted him put to sleep. He was signed over to our Head Nurse who, with the rest of the team, wanted to give him a chance of having his legs repaired. He is only 5 months old. It is a complicated operation and needs a specialist - we have found a lovely vet 150 miles away who will do this much needed op at a very much reduced price (usually £4,000 for an op of this kind)

      Update from the Page owner

Thank you so very much to everyone who supported Roland and his operation, ongoing care etc - you have all made it possible and should feel very proud, that hopefully, this little boy will soon be well enough to run and play like a puppy should. You are all awesome. xxx

Roland is continuing to do well . He has his bandages changed every 2-3 days under sedation. On Friday, there was a little bit of infection, so keeping everything crossed that the antibiotics will stop it in its tracks. He is enjoying being a cheeky puppy :) Thank you all xxx

He had his bandages changed on Friday under sedation and it gave us a good look at the pins and plates - ouch! Amazing what they have done.Slight swelling and discharge so now on two types of antibiotics. Saturday he chased a ball - naughty Roland - not allowed to run yet!
