It has been quite an emotionally involved appeal on behalf of Samira because the stakes have been so high, and it has taken me a little bit of time to write this huge thank you to everyone that has helped. Together through this appeal we managed to secure over 20% of the shortfall in funding to help with her treatment and that has been sent. Further good news has been that we have had a significant additional donation outside the appeal and on top of that a charity has undertaken to fund much of the hospital cost of the remaining treatment. Therefore the financial challenge has been reduced significantly but there still is one. We need to keep Samira in Moscow over the next few months to complete her treatment, and the medical view is that the treatment is going well.
