Weʼve raised £1,080 to help raise funds for Sol Barrie-Douglas

Funded on Friday, 13th May 2016

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Sol is 4 years old and has recently been diagnosed with a type of brain cancer called medulloblastoma.

Sol has had a tumour in his brain removed fully, but is still left with cells that need to be treated and will need radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He also has Posterior Fossa Syndrome, which means he has been disabled since surgery - speechless and paralysed. Sol can't swallow so he's been on a drip feed for weeks. He is only 4 years old and this has obviously been frustrating and scary for him.

His recovery from the operation could take up to a year and he has to stay in hospital.

We feel it will be one less thing to worry about for Sol's parents William and Ruth and 7 year old brother Theo if we can help them financially, especially because the volume of care Sol needs means Ruth is unable to work. The money will help with costs towards the expense of travelling to and from the hospital. Money will also be used towards nourishing Sol with healthy food and a special diet to help speed his recovery and help everything heal. With any money left over from the donations this could go towards a family outing when Sol has recovered and medical care if needed.

The event will take place at The Voodoo Rooms and have the following acts playing:-

    Miracle Glass Company
Lewis Gibson & The Midas Touch
    The Jackals
Cera Impala & The New Prohibition
    Black Cat Bone (Acoustic)
    Daniel McGeever
    Bobby Nicholson
    Golden Generators

Tickets will be on sale shortly from Ripping Records for £10.
Donations will also be welcome on the night of the event.

All monies raised will go straight to the family.

This page is for donations as there are some people who cannot attend this event. Please show your support by giving generously.

    Strictly over 18s only.

    Please give generously.

    Thanks
