Dear friends

It came as a shock. No warning, no heads up, just the phone call that Trevor, 55, had been rushed to the hospital with heart problems. Put into an induced coma, open heart surgery, the coma continued, and then he was gone. Our funny, passionate, talented, musical, future husband to Sally, larger than life brother, son, father, grandson, friend… was gone.

It’s been an incredibly hard few weeks for us. Those of you who knew of, or were close to Trevor, know what a huge hole has been carved out of our hearts. There are no words to convey the sadness we feel.

If you were close to Trevor, had booked Trevor for a party, or had worked the clubs in Birmingham, you knew how much he loved to entertain. He was such a talented musician. Most of us are lucky enough to have been blessed with some musical fingers in our family, but with Trevor… he could play the trumpet, saxophone, drums, sing. If you saw Trevor perform you’d want to see him again and again. His life was his family, his friends and entertaining. He was an amazing father to his children, and was due to marry his long-term partner Sally, of 19 years in October. We’re broken.

We’ve started this page because we have been asked where people can send donations. The donations will go to the Queen Elizabeth hospital and also to help funeral costs.

Thank you for all of your messages. It’s been comforting to receive and see on social media so many beautiful tributes to Trevor. Thank you for your love and support in this difficult time.
