Story
There is a lack of external defibrillators in Weston-Super-Mare town centre to deal with sudden cardiac arrest (heart attack).
A 'Streetlifer' witnessing a heart attack expressed their concern and Graham Road Surgery Patients' Participation Group (PPG) has taken up the challenge to raise money to provide one in the High Street.
Boots have kindly promised up to £1000 to place one outside their premises in the High Street provided the PPG raise match funding.
The defibrillator will be available 24/7 and can be used by anyone. It gives instruction on its use and monitors the correct giving of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
Help save lives of both residents and visitors to Weston town centre by giving as much as you can to this vital cause.
Thanks in advance.

8 years agoA thousand thanks to all those who supported our Cake & Treat Sale today in aid of a defibrillator for Weston High Street - we raised £85.71. And a further thousand thanks to the members of King Alfred Masonic Lodge for their kind donation of £250 to the cause. Together with £65 on our "Just Giving" site we have a total of £400.71 which Boots the Chemist have promised to match fund - so totally £801.42. A good start but some way to go.
