Amanda is 49 years old and married to Mark between them they have 5 children aged between 18 & 25. On the 1st April 2014 Amanda received the devastating news that she had stage 4 bowel cancer. The cancer had spread to her peritoneal cavity and her lymph nodes. A huge operation followed and a gruelling regime of chemotherapy after which Amanda was declared to be disease free.

During this disease free period Amanda joined forces with other local ladies who have or have had cancer to create the Lookin Good Feelin Great group who were soon to become calendar girls.

The group set about fundraising with a calender with themselves as stars with a professional picture on each month plus their story.

The 2016 calendar raised over £20,000 for cancer research and the local oncology unit.

Sadly the day after the calendar launch in September 2015 Amanda was admitted to hospital for a further operation to remove another tumour.

In March 2016 Amanda returned to work but just one month later she received the terrible news that the cancer was back a third time and was inoperable, complications in the shape of a blocked bowel now means that Amanda has only been given as little as 3 to 6 months to live.

We all have regrets and Amanda & Mark are no exception. Amanda and Mark got married whilst abroad almost 12 years ago but unfortunately no family or friends were there to witness this event and because of this they now wish to renew their vows at the earliest opportunity not only to reaffirm their love and devotion but also to allow their children, family and friends to share in the moment and create cherished memories of a wonderful day.
