Story
Since Blake's recent severe illness, I have been rocked to the core. We were so close to losing him and it has made me re-evaluate our lives. Our house, although lovely, does not lend itself to caring for a disabled child. The council will part fund the garage conversion but we need to fund the rest of the work, which will involve opening up the living area and adding a small extension on. I want Blake to be able to be around me at all times in a safer, more social environment.

8 years agoThank you once again. And i LOVE the comment left by anonymous.... "make every moment a happy one". That is exactly what i want to do. Life is pretty tough, and like all mums, i get stressed and cross. The additional pressures of a difficult living area makes it tougher.

I am full time carer for my son and also work part time from home. I have a daughter too. I have raised a lot of money in the last 3 years for research into my son's rare genetic condition, MECP2 Duplication Syndrome, but this year, I feel my focus must be on helping Blake.
