Boultham Park in Lincoln is a beautiful grade 2 registered park. The long awaited restoration is scheduled to start this year (subject to final agreement by the Heritage Lottery Fund). Funding is still required to support this project and great work is being done to raise what is needed, but we haven't forgotten the sister project to restore the lake. The lake works are vital, and although we have a phased plan, it will be expensive and no significant funding is yet in place for this, so every little helps. Thankfully, both projects enjoy excellent support which will be vital to these projects over the coming years.
I'm aiming to run the 10k, without anything much by way of any training. I know this isn't going to be comfortable, but my pledge is that whilst I may not be fast I will not stop running for anything (absolutely no walking!). In simple terms I will be trying to emulate the dogged determination and spirit shown by those who have pushed and worked for this project over many years, and never given up faith (despite the many set backs). I want to do my bit not just to raise some money for the project, but also to make sure that those who stand by the project know what support they have from the people of Lincoln. Absolutely any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated whether large or small. Please help to show your support for Boultham Park and the lake.
