My Mum is the strongest person I know and in the past few weeks she has really out done herself. After finding out she had cancer, she was told by the NHS, her condition was inoperable and she had less than six months to live. Not giving up, we were lucky enough to get a second opinion and found a surgeon willing to operate, although there were associated risks.

Taking the leap of faith, my Mum chose to go for it and live! The operation itself, went amazingly well, however, without having health insurance; we have had to self-pay the hospital bills. My Mum managed to pay for the initial costs, but with several post-operation complications and additional procedures, the bill is increasing at a rapid rate.

My Mum is also the kindest person I know and I'm hoping that her kindness will serve as the bridge to helping us chip away at the additional costs we are facing.
