My nan and sister are doing a parachute jump on my nans 80th birthday on 8th June. Dementia is a horrifying disease that not only effects those suffering but, as I've seen first hand, can cripple those left behind....some of the money we raise will go towards helping those who are "left behind" as many of them are elderly people who may have no one else to help or turn too. My nan is desperate to help because she wants to stop others suffering in the same way she and our family have.

My grandfather was a strong, independent, intelligent, practical man who enjoyed caravanning and DIY.He was the man, after my father passed, who taught me to drive....I've watched him over a very short space of time..loose his mind...his body still remains strong but his mind has died! He has gone from a man who built his own home to a man who can't feed himself....time to raise awareness and to help others in our position...time to give back to those who help us help them in our hour of need.

My nan has been married to my grandad for 59 years and I can only imagine what it is like to watch your husband and soulmate go through this horrific disease...she's the strongest woman I know! She's never done anything like this but wants to raise awareness and give back! The difference can be seen as soon as the jump has completed. SHARE SHARE SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!!!!!
