    Story

Catherine and Alison are swimming the mile swim on Saturday and then swimming the half mile with Kath (there mother ) on the Sunday.
Sam is our cousins little boy, he is 6 years old, was born 10 weeks early and was on life support for 8 days. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia) at the age of 16 months when it became apparent he was not meeting his developmental milestones. This means he has no use in either legs or arms and no use in his left hand. He is unable to stand or sit.
Sam is a very bright little boy who is constantly frustrated by his physical disabilities. He lives for the outdoor life. Sam spends his evenings and weekends on the farm with his dad, whether it's milking cows, lambing sheep, training dogs or watching them combine at harvest time. Up until now his family have managed Sam in a wheelchair but he is severely restricted with where he can access in this chair and as it is so a push along,he has absolutely no independence and solely relies on his dad to wheel him around. When Sam isn't outdoors either with his dad or taking the family dogs out for a walk with his two sisters and mum, then he can become extremely upset. The all-terrain powered wheelchair will be used daily for every activity that Sam participates in and will enable him to become more independent. It can cover any type of terrain, (steps included) which doesn't exclude Sam from any areas of the farm and every day life .The base of the chair need never be replaced and will take him right through to adulthood and beyond the only part which will need replacing is the seat to be changed from a child seat to an adult seat making this particular chair completely unique and long term the most cost effective.
Thank you for all your support 😀
