    Story

Dave Fairclough created the highwaymen cycling group.
    https://highwaymencycling.com/
This group of friends has been a catalyst for my cycling and getting fitter. Best of all, Matthew is enjoying his Sports GCSE and embracing cycling as part of his fitness regime.
This cycle ride has been our major goal for months, and it is by no means guaranteed that we can complete it. We're delighted that Matthew's friend Harry has committed to it too, although his Dad John is still struggling with bronchitis. Other Highwaymen, Dave, his brother and Julie will be accompanying us. Helen will be providing vital backup support for the first two days too.
I would normally be asking for sponsorship for MND, but we know they have done very well out of last year's ice bucket challenge. Therefore, Matthew, Harry and I are asking for support from friends and colleagues to raise money for Dave's son Stan's new all-terrain wheelchair. You can read more about Stan here:
    https://fundrazr.com/stanswheels

And more about the Way of the Roses here:

Thank you for for reading this and hopefully your support too..
(Gift Aid not applicable as Dave/Stan's wheels is not a registered charity - yet).

If you would like to email or message us with pence per mile (5.8p per mile for £10. divide by 2 for £5, 10 for a £1, or even multiply...) it would be even more motivating.
