Story
We are raising as much money as we can to help out the flood-affected schools in Calderdale, who have suffered damage in terms of buildings and contents. Children's workbooks have been destroyed, along with expensive equipment and furniture - we want to make sure they can replace they items as soon as possible to ensure the children don't lose out.

8 years agoWell, we did it (and how!) - I set a conservative target of £4000 and look how much WE raised. Thank you to everyone who took part in the non-uniform day and for the donations that will help the children in these schools get back to a sense of normality.

8 years agoA huge THANK YOU to all the schools (from Calderdale and beyond) that have donated their proceeds so far. It has surpassed all our expectations of what we might raise and with just over a week to go, I wonder if we'll break the £20k mark!

We at Siddal Primary School hope this donation goes a little way to ease the hardship caused by the Boxing Day Floods. We wore non uniform and donated £1 each to wear our own clothes for a day..
