    Story

Food poverty can affect anybody, even those in work, or leaving hospitals and other institutions. We need a bigger space and greatly need to offer a more wholistic service. Giving food donations is a short term solution, we need to be able to support people with long term solutions to food poverty or poverty in general.'

I set up the food bank 3 years ago. There was a great need for the service and many other services were not appropriate for families or other vulnerable people. I had experienced long term unemployment, so was quite disheartened by the stigma attached to living in poverty.
