Story
The owner of a portion of Cove shore has requested that the fishing boats that are currently stored there are removed and has issued a two week deadline. Whilst access was still in theory permitted, boulders and hardcore have been piled up around the boats effectively blocking them in.When he purchased the house and the section of the harbour the boats were already in place and had been for years. He has not given any reasons for this sudden decision, despite us asking and refuses to communicate

As someone who originally comes from another small fishing community I find this intended course of action by Kolhe totally beyond reason with no respect whatsoever for the traditions of NE Scotland.

I have been on the fishing boats from Cove for thirty years. My grandfather, uncle, dad and brother have also all fished from here. To lose this harbour would be soul destroying - for us as a family and the wider community.
