    Story

    We're raising money for Cure 4 Charley, https://cure4charley.com/ .

Ten members of Dorothy Stringer's staff have offered to have their heads shaved for the Cure 4 Charley Charity during lunchtime on Thursday 15th September.

This has caused consternation in some households and their families have started a campaign to keep them just as they are. We will be asking students to donate money into either the 'shave' or 'not shave' buckets. The bucket with the most money in at the end will determine if they keep their hair on.

The majority of staff are likely to have their heads shaved, however, the decision will be the students' based on which bucket has the higher amount of donations.

You can see the before photograph above and we will post the after photo of all the newly shaved members of staff.

We wish Mr's Bradford, Voegeli, Latham, Bernal, Francis, Stone, Eaglestone, Charlesworth, Shilladay and Baker a happy holiday with their full heads of hair.

A post from the mastermind behind the head shaving event, Martin Stone: £1447 has been raised for (Cure 4) Charley so far. This is made up of £717 from staff members' 'shave' and 'not shave' buckets, £226 gained from students coming to watch the event itself and the £504 from this Justgiving page. This means we have actually raised 72% of our target amount! If you still want to donate, it's not too late, this page will close on Sunday 25th September and all donations will be transferred over to the cure 4 Charley gofundme page.

On Thursday lunchtime, Martin, Neil, Pablo and Peter all bravely faced the barbers razor and each received an extreme new haircut whilst Richard compromised with a number 2 all over after his family overwhelmingly donated to his 'not shave' bucket. The other six members of staff showed their support in the hall, and raised generous donations from family members to avoid the close shave! Thanks to Med's Barbers on Western Road for their barbering skills. There is still time to donate! Thank you for all of your donations so far!
