    Story

On 7th October 2015, Felix, 11 at the time, was involved in a road traffic accident outside his home in Swanmore. He was flown to Southampton General Hospital by the Hampshire & IOW Air Ambulance, and placed in a medically-induced coma.

Fit For Felix has been set up to help pay for the day-to-day care that Felix will require after he leaves hospital. This will include physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, speech therapy, counselling, and the likely modifications required to the family home.

My MRI scan last week detected an old fracture in the tibia that is in the process of trying to heal, but hasn't quite. Plus, signs of a new one forming. I have been told not to run for 6 months, after the L2B, but I need to be really careful and aware of my leg during the race.

For this event I plan to run more than twice as long as I ever have. That will hopefully be 100km. I aim to help Felix in his journey, while preparing for my own. You can see all information and updates on Felix here: http://www.fitforfelix.com/ Thank you all so much!
