Since last year I have volunteered at JAGS, working to increase awareness of youth on youth violence in London. JAGS was set up after Tracey, our CEO's son, was tragically murdered in 2007. We work hard to raise awareness of the serious problems of violence within gangs and young groups, and reduce this through projects such as supporting bereaved families. At the moment we are working particularly hard to target young women within gangs through support programmes. http://www.jagsfoundation.org

Since working at JAGS Foundation I have realised how hard every member of the team works to improve awareness and support those affected by youth on youth violence. I am proud to volunteer as the foundation, which relies on donations. Without these donations we cannot go out and run the projects which are helping so many young people.

The support of donations will benefit us in many ways. It means that we can run projects and fund programmes in local schools, informing the future generation about the problems faced within youth violence. It will help us by enabling us to say yes to more talks at schools, university's and centres where our voice will be heard. But most importantly, it will ensure the foundation continues to run.

Donations will enable us to reach in excess of 250 young people,through developing the CARE programmes and expanding into other local boroughs suffering from high levels of youth violence. It will enable us to expand our preventative workshops for young girls by taking on more volunteers and accessing more institutions.
