Weʼve raised £2,290 to fund food distribution for displaced refugees in Calais and Dunkirk

    London, United Kingdom
Funded on Sunday, 3rd April 2016

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

My aim, with your help, is to raise enough funds to be able to deliver much needed supplies to the refugee kitchens in and around Calais and Dunkirk.

I will be looking to provide easy to cook (firewood and gas is scarce), nourishing, appealing food to refugee community kitchens and/or individual distributions to vulnerable families.

Every penny raised will go towards the purchase and transport of food.

There are so many opinions out there: caring, blaming, scaring, supporting, opposing etc etc. Who knows what is correct, what is really going on, and what we should do about it? All we can do is do what we personally believe to be the right thing.

Recently I spent four weeks volunteering in France sorting and distributing aid to the refugee camps in Calais and Dunkirk. During this time I couldn't help but notice the shortage of good, wholesome, nourishing and warming food.
