I met Amanda when we were both pregnant. She was there for me when my daughter was diagnosed with Down Syndrome at a week old. For someone who hold her cards as close to her chest as Amanda does, the kindness and compassion she shows Lily is amazing. For someone who is as politically incorrect as Amanda is, the care and thought she takes in every single word she says to and about Lily is just wonderful. Amanda is incredibly kind, genuine and dare I say it vulnerable. Amanda was in the army and without going into detail I know that that experience is the reason she is as she is. But to me she is my friend and a bloody good one.

3 years ago, Amanda (now 30) and Jamie (now 26) met in Wetherspoons in Glasgow. Jamie kissed her… to stop her talking! (She does have a tendency to go on a bit).
They've both had their ups and downs, but since having Luna 2 years ago they’ve proved they are far stronger together than they are apart, their love for each other is so evident in everything they do. One thing that is clear to anyone who knows either of them, is their unconditional love for their daughter Luna.

Jamie went to see his doctor in December 2015 and they kept fobbing him off with minor ailments.
3 days ago Amanda and Jamie’s worlds fell apart when Jamie was diagnosed with a very very rare type of cancer called clear cell sarcoma. Clear cell sarcoma is an aggressive form of cancer and in Jamie’s case, it has spread to his groin and abdomen. Heartbreakingly Jamie has been told by his doctor that he only has months to live.

Jamie is starting chemo on Monday, which unfortunately has been proven to not be affective on the type of cancer he has, but because of ‘red tape’ he has to have chemo first before he can try another new drug which isn't yet proven to help.

Please please help me to at least give them a holiday to remember. A holiday so they can make memories, memories for Luna, photographs of laughter and fun, one last time. Please. For Luna
