Story
Approximately 5000 people, many of whom have fled from war and persecution, are living in a shanty town in Calais, called The Jungle. People from Syria, Eritrea, Sudan and Afghanistan are attempting to cross the UK border in search of a better life. The migrants are taking increasing risks to cross the Channel, and 9 people have died since June whilst trying to cross to the UK. People are living in makeshift tents, with limited water and food.

I have been totally overwhelmed by the generosity of people who funded this trip. Thank you very much for your support. The additional funds raised have been the impetus to found Scottish Action for Refugees, and as a group we are now organising a number of projects in Calais, Glasgow and further afield. Every penny donated will go towards providing aid to refugees.
