Story
My brother John Reid tragically lost his life on 17th September 2015, 19 days after he was involved in a car accident.
He lived his short 21 years to the absolute full, he loved life and never had a dull day. He was known by many people through his love for cars and lorries. #GoOnJohn became attached to him after an incident in Letterkenny (you all know what I am talking about!!)
He is missed sorely every day by me, my mum Mary and dad Liam and all our family and friends. We are heartbroken and our lives will never be the same again without John he truly was ONE IN A MILLION.
We have decided to form a charity called The John Reid Foundation to keep John's memory alive and also to help raise money for people with brain trauma injuries and rehabilitation. After watching first hand the truly amazing around the clock care given by the nurses in the Intensive Care Unit in The Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where John was for 19 days we want to help give something back.
As the charity is currently undergoing the registration process we cannot set up an official Just Giving Charity page just yet, we have decided to set up a crowd funding page for any donations to be made in conjunction with the Belfast Marathon.
A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated.
