Story
We want to install a state of the art changing place facility at Longdown Activity Farm in Ashurst for all visitors with additional needs. We need to raise £15,000 to cover the equipment needed for this facility, including a ceiling tracking hoist, adult-sized changing bed and peninsular toilet (that allows a carer either side) to enable children and adults with any disability or condition to access the toilet safely and in a dignified manner and avoid them having to be changed on the floor.

8 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated so generously to our 'Changing Places' toilet and changing facility project at Longdown Activity Farm. We cannot thank you enough. We are currently working hard to get the facility installed and up and running as soon as possible, and look forward to inviting you all to see it in due course. You are helping us do something incredibly special for so many families who visit farm. By providing equipment such as a hoist and adult-sized height-adjustable changing bed, we are enabling those with disabilities and additional needs to be changed and to access the toilet with the dignity they deserve, everywhere they go. Longdown Activity Farm is really leading the way, showing other attractions and venues how to be truly inclusive and accessible - True Heroes! Sarah XXX

I am mum to Hadley and his twin sister, Erica. I'm so proud to be helping Longdown Activity Farm in its commitment to accessibility and its visitors with special needs - by helping them raise the funds for a special accessible changing and toilet facility this winter.
