    Story

As a teacher I have worked with young people throughout my career and helped them develop and flourish. However for a few, an extra helping hand has been just what they have needed and this is what HorseHeard offers through the support of horses.
I feel very privileged through HorseHeard to have witnessed the difference being around horses has made to the young people's lives and seen how quickly everyone taking part builds up life skills that may not have been possible with other interventions.
Some of the things said after the completion of a programme :
"I am so proud of myself and believe I can do anything now "
"I learnt not to give up on stuff"
"The change in the children has been utterly amazing"

We want to help as many children and young people have this horsey experience too, so our goal is to help raise funds to subsidise the cost of programmes. Recently HorseHeard has achieved charity status and we're still setting up bank accounts etc. hence crowd funding and along with HorseHeard colleagues taking on huge Charity Challenges.

A team are climbing Ben Nevis followed by cycling 25 miles and canoeing Loch Lochy in a day. I decided this was too much of a challenge for me, so madly, decided instead to pair up with my sister Alison Barlow and join Bigland Hall horses on their Coast 2 Coast, 200 mile horse trek on Sunday !!!!!!!!!!!!
Eleven days starting in Bees Head, Cumbria on 19th June arriving on the 30th June at Robin Hoods Bay, Yorkshire, taking in some amazing scenery as we ride over the Lake District Fells, Yorkshire Dales and Moors. 'Aitch Aitch' our HorseHeard mascot will be joining us on our travels, having just climbed Ben Nevis and posting on our Facebook page everyday. Please do like our page and follow us.

Our horse trek is self funded ensuring that all monies go to HorseHeard. Registered Charity No. 1166682 www.horseheard.com.

Please sponsor me and help me achieve our target of £1000 and hopefully raise a lot more.
