I feel passionate about giving something back, whether it be my time, my experience, my knowledge or simply throwing myself off of one of Dundee's tallest building.

As a teenager I left school feeling lost and unprepared to fulfil a job role of any capacity, when I heard of ACK Young Champions and the initiative Anthea Reid is heading to give Dundee's disadvantaged youngsters the skills and capability to improve their prospects of employment, I asked where I can sign up.

Having met the trial group of the project during their Young Champions Summer Programme, I was overwhelmed with the maturity, interest and motivation of the small group, I left with a sense of fulfilment and curiosity, as my relationship with the champions expands and develops further.

I applaud Kirsty Thomson and Anthea Reid for bravely bridging the gap between Education and Employment for kids, just like myself, whom found themselves a little bit lost but with the right guidance and support have the potential to shine. - Holly
