As a celebration of Richard Pring’s lifelong contribution to the field of education, we thought it would be a fitting gesture for his friends and colleagues to commission a portrait of him. The portrait will sit in the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, alongside portraits of other distinguished departmental members such as Jerry Bruner and Harry Judge. The portrait will be painted by Beth Marsden, an young portrait artist who has already painted a number of other Oxford academics.
