Gerallt who is originally from Croesor Llanfrothen Penrhyndeudraeth has Friedrich Ataxia a debilitating condition that has left him confined to a wheelchair since the age of 21. We are raising funds to buy him an all terrain motorised scooter that will enable him to access more places with his wife and children such as the beach or the rugby pitch to watch his children play. We are also hoping to buy a hand cycle to enable him to join his family on bike rides while he still has the use of his arms. Unfortunately he no longer has the use of his legs.. The family currently live in a property that is not adapted to thier needs so daily life is a struggle for the family while they await an adapted property from the local housing authority. We also intend to purchase an I pad with speech recognition technoligy to enable him to communicate via email and text. All these items will give Gerallt a little bit of independence back and enhance his quality of life. Any donation no matter how small will be gratefully received. We currently have a few events planned to also raise money.under our chosen name of Get Ger Going.
