Story
On Sunday 3rd July staff at Specsavers Oban will join Moira Thomson, 79 in doing an abseil down Cruachan dam, in aid of both the Oban mountain rescue and the Children's hospice association Scotland (CHAS).
A couple years ago my gran decided to write a bucket list, along with seeing both Ronan Keating and Rod Stewart live, she had decided that she would quite like to do an abseil.
This year I mentioned that the staff at specsavers were going to be arranging with the Oban mountain rescue to do an Abseil off Cruachan Dam. Gran was desperate to get involved.
After a conversation with CHAS and how they help support family's across Scotland with a child or children with life shortening illnesses, she decided that this was the charity that she wanted to help. And thanks to the Oban mountain rescue for arranging the event we have decided to split the proceeds 50/50. So, By donating to this page you will be supporting Moira Thomson, Karen MacDonald, Iona Campbell, David Farquharson, Martyna Surowka, Kirsty Clark, Kerry McDougall, Leslie Reid, Toni MacIntyre, Lauren Williams-Bale. This money will then be donated to the Oban mountain rescue and CHAS.
